David C. Latshaw is the President of Latshaw & Associates, a local government consulting group dedicated to advancing council-manager relations and performance. A veteran city manager, Dave has more than 28 years experience in the local government profession, over 20 of which have been as a city manager/administrator. He attained his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and a Masters Degree in Public Administration at the Fels School of Government of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dave is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) who trained at the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, California, which is fully accredited by the International Coach Federation. He is affiliated with and serves as a strategic partner to the Professional Coaching Institute (PCI) located in Scottsdale, Arizona with the goal of providing high quality leader coach training to local governments at all levels. Dave is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Dave is a highly effective executive coach, trainer and facilitator whose clients have included key business and government executives, entrepreneurs and individuals who seek to attain greater levels of achievement or growth in their career, business or lives. He has personally coached and mentored hundreds of managers and senior executives to new heights of professional development and personal achievement. He has particular expertise in managing cultural and organizational change; organizational development and training; labor/management relations and human resource management. He is an accomplished public speaker and program trainer.
Dave and his wife Kathy reside in Fountain Hills, Arizona with their two sons, David II and Jarrod.
